La scheda Hamlet 32 Bit PCI è totalmente Plug & Play, basta inserirla nel PC per essere automaticamente configurata dal Bios del computer. Può connettere i computer alla velocità di 10/100/Gigabit al secondo in una rete locale. Implementa la funzione Full-duplex per raddoppio della velocità di connessione a 20/200 o 2 gigabit al secondo. La connessione Gigabit può essere realizzata usando un cavo di Categoria 5 con connettore RJ45 (Suggeriamo cavo di cat. 5E)
